SHILLONG: As many as 23 candidates have filed their nominations for the JHADC election on Thursday.
A total of 16 nominations were filed in East Jaintia Hills and 7 nominations were filed in West Jaintia Hills.
It may be mentioned that February 8 is the last date for filing of nominations. Scrutiny of nominations will start at 3pm on the same day.

Earlier, Thomas Passah filed his nomination papers as an Independent candidate and not as a candidate from the Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM).
