NIT prof found dead in Assam

SHILLONG: A professor from Meghalaya was found dead in a hotel room in Assam on Tuesday, a delayed report said.
According to the police, Vinay Kumar, a visiting professor at NIT Meghalaya, went missing since February 4.
The next day he was found dead in the hotel.
Earlier, following a complaint, police started investigation and found the location of his cellphone near Paltan Bazaar in Guwahati.
On February 6, when the Meghalaya police visited the area, Assam police informed that the body of the professor was found hanging in the hotel room the previous day.
