Governor flags off Start-up Yatra

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Governor Tathagata Roy on Wednesday flagged off the mobile van of the Start-up India Meghalaya Yatra from Raj Bhavan in the presence of officials from the Department of Commerce and Industries – Commissioner and Secretary MR Synrem,  Joint Secretary AL Mawlong and Director of Commerce and Industries JL Mawlong.
The Start-up India Meghalaya Yatra, which is scheduled to conclude on February 23, is being organised by the Ministry of DoNER in collaboration with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) and the state government.
Start-up India Yatra aims to identify grass root level entrepreneurs in the smaller towns of India. The Yatra will provide a platform for budding entrepreneurs to realise their start-up dream by getting incubated at excellent facilities and taking their idea to the next level.
