SHILLONG: The Federation of Mawsynram Self Help Group opposed the transfer of Mawsynram Block Development Officer (BDO) EL. Warjri.
Addressing a press conference, member of the Federation, Bonniphast Lyngkhoi said Warjri is a hard-working BDO and comes to work from Monday to Friday unlike previous BDOs who work only during market days.
He said there are 300 SHGs in Mawsynram and these SHGs demanded from the government to  retain her for a full three-year term.
