SHILLONG: In a first-of-its-kind instance in Meghalaya, the State Cabinet, which sat here on Friday for over forty minutes, did not take any decision.
The Cabinet meeting was called at 4 pm and it started accordingly.
However, after some time, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong told reporters the Cabinet had taken no decision on any issue.
“We took up a few issues related to Power and PHE departments, but since the concerned ministers were not there we did not take any decision,” he said.
He, however, said that the Cabinet discussed some issues unofficially and later decided to defer it since the ministers were not present.
