TURA: The Forum of Traditional Chiefs for Peace Welfare and Empowerment (FTCPWE) of Tikrikilla (erstwhile United Peace Forum), a conglomerate body of Nokmas, Gaonburas, Laskars, sordars, Mondols etc recently held a meeting where its new committee was constituted.
The meeting elected Soben Marak as President, Tapan A Sangma and Malson Marak as Vice Presidents, Dilip R Sangma as General secretary, Parister M Sangma as Joint secretary, Purbat G Momin as Accountant, Rajendra Sangma as Treasurer and Mongjeng Sangma as Organizing Secretary. Besides, current Convenor Walseng A Sangma was nominated to the same post for the second term.
Further, Nokmas, VDP secretaries, Sordars, Mondals, Gaonburas, Headmen and other village chiefs from more than 150 village councils has been nominated as Executive Committee of the same Forum.
