GUWAHATI: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) is organising the “2nd Emerging North East 2019 – Exhibition cum Conference” from February 20 to 22, 2019 at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre in Guwahati.

Member of Parliament from Gauhati Parliamentary Constituency, Smt. Bijoya Chakravarty will inaugurate the event in presence of senior officers of Central & State Government.

The key objective of the event is to facilitate investments and partnerships, providing opportunities for local youth, women, Non-Government Organisations and development agencies to interact with the national level institutions, industries, experts and officials.

The mega event comprising of Development Expo, Agri and Rural Expo and North East Development meet will provide an opportunity for the region to showcase its potential and opportunities for the rest of the country to offer what it has to for partnering and engaging to explore the opportunities and participating in the growth and development of the region.

Bureau of Outreach & Communication (BOC) will represent the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting by putting up a photo exhibition on ‘Saaf Niyat Sahi Vikas’ and ‘150 years of Mahatma Gandhi’. The staff artistes of BOC will also perform live art performances during the three-day event.

The conference shall be addressed by the representatives of Union and State Government as well as dignitaries from the ministries &organizations like Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises, APEDA, NABARD, FSSAI, NERAMAC, NECTER, IFFCO, IWAI etc.

The clientele/audience for the event shall be Small &Medium Enterprises, Start-ups, Directorates of Industries, Agricultural Universities, Self Help Groups, Technology and Machinery Suppliers, Krishi Vikas Kendras, Directorates of Agriculture and Horticulture, Cooperative &other Banks, local Industry Associations, Entrepreneurs, Khadi and Village Industries, Research Institutions, aspiring Entrepreneurs, students, progressive farmers etc. among others.
