TURA: In view of the delay to re-construct the Soksan Bridge at Resubelpara which was washed off in a devastating flood a few years ago, members of the Resu-Mendi Regional Unit of the ADE recently met Deputy Commissioner S C Sadhu and urged him to look into the matter.

According to the association, failure to re-construct the bridge is not only posing difficulties to the local people but also to the people from outside who come to the area.

“The absence of the bridge has resulted in difficulties to general commuters, businessmen and especially, school students who use the bridge to go to school. We have urged the deputy commissioner to initiate work on the bridge immediately and to monitor the work,” the ADE said adding, it would take its own course of action if their request was denied.
