Army recruitment rally for male candidates of eleven Districts of Meghalaya for Soldiers Pharma in Army Medical Corps will be conducted on March 7 at Mariani, Assam. Candidates can apply online, for which registration started and will continue till March 2. Admit cards for the rally will be sent through registered e-mail on March 3. General holiday
The Under Secretary to the Government of Meghalaya, General Administration (A) Department informed that February 27 has declared as a general holiday in the whole of East Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills, Ri-Bhoi, West Jaintia and East Jaintia Hills Districts on account of the council polls. Employees working in Garo Hills who are electors under the Constituencies of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Councils and Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Councils will be granted Special Leave.
Paid holiday
The Chief Inspector of Boilers and Factories, Meghalaya has informed all the factory owners in the state to declare February 27 a paid holiday to enable the voters to exercise their franchise on the day of polling to the council election.
Dry days
The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills District has declared February 27 as dry day throughout the district being the polling date for the upcoming council polls and March 2 being the date for counting of votes. All bonded warehouse/IMFL shops/bars/hotels/clubs and outstill shops should remain closed on these days.
Registration
IGNOU Regional Centre Shillong announces that the online registration for the June Exams will be from March 1to March 31 without late fee and from April 1 to 10 with a late fee of Rs.1,000.
Workshop
