Occult beat Yaws CC

SHILLONG: Occult CC got the better of Yaws C by 63 runs in their Shillong Cricket League match played on Sunday. Occult elected to bat and scored 170 losing all wickets in 34.2 overs. Pankaj Sah scored 51 runs while Pawan Rana contributed 19 runs with the bat. Tarak Sinha and Ramesh Sharma shared seven wickets between themselves. In reply Yaws CC scored 107/10 in 24.4 overs. Amarnath Sharma top scored 41 runs while Sunil Yadav scored 18 runs. In the bowling department, Marty Mustafa bowled a superb spell and scalped 5 wickets in 6 overs giving away 27 runs, but the surprise performer of the day was Edwin Marak who only bowled 4 balls but claimed a hat-trick to give his team a 63-run victory.
