WKH DC lists ID proof documents

Mawkyrwat: The Deputy Commissioner, South West Khasi Hills district, Isawanda Laloo, has informed that EPICs issued by the Election Commission of India will be accepted as proof of identity of the electors for election to the KHADC on February 27.
Laloo also said that those who do not have EPICs may also be allowed to vote provided their identity is established to the satisfaction of the presiding officer or such other polling officer as is authorised by the presiding officer and supported by certain documents (see box).

WHAT YOU NEED
Passport, driving license, PAN card, Aadhaar card, service identity cards issued to employees of state/ central government, public sector undertakings, local bodies and public limited companies, passbooks containing photographs for accounts opened in public sector banks/ post offices, student identity cards having photographs issued by recognized university/ colleges, freedom fighter identity card with photograph, pension payment order with photograph, certificate of physical handicap with photograph, arm license with photograph and job cards with photograph issued under the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
