Thunder warning
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast whereby thunder squall with hail and heavy rain is likely to occur in the state on February 27 and 28.
Illicit liquor
The Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District has detected 15 cases in the month of January with a seizure of 43.200 liters of i/d liquor and 4.305 liters IMFL seized. 13 persons were arrested under the Excise Act.
Unclaimed body
The Joint Director of Health Services (SS), Civil Hospital, Shillong has informed that a male patient named Livingstone Laitflang, (53), c/o Meena Laitflang (Aunt), Forest Colony, Shillong was admitted to Civil Hospital, Shillong on February 15. He expired on February 22. Relatives are requested to collect the body from the morque failing which it will be send for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
