Rashtriya Poorvattar Rang Utsav to be held in Shillong from March 1

SHILLONG: The Rashtriya Poorvattar Rang Utsav (RPRU) will be held for the first time in Shillong starting from March 1 till March 10 in which 10 groups from different states all over India have been selected with their plays in different languages to perform in the festival.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, a member of National School of Drama, Jyoti Narayan Nath said the aim of the festival is to develop and popularise theater amongst the youngsters.
“The main motto is to develop interest of theater amongst the people of the North East,” he said.
