Rice released
The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District has informed that rice under NFSA and NON-NFSA and additional PHH rice for the month of February has been released through their respective fair price shops w.e.f March 5. All the fair price shop dealers are directed to lift their allotted quota within March 13 and to display the list of beneficiaries and the price board in their shops.
Public hearing
In connection with the acquisition of land measuring an area of 81631.67 sq.m at West Jaintia Hills District for the purpose of improvement/widening to 2 lane with paved shoulder/4 laning of NH-40 between Shillong to Dawki Road upto Bangladesh Border including Dawki bridge (proposed project) to be constructed/developed by Government of Meghalaya, a public hearing will be held on March 5 at Community Hall, Bakur (Khasi Pnar School) at 11 am. All interested persons are invited to attend the hearing.

The Headmistress-Cum-Secretary, Sarojini Naidu Girls’ Upper Primary School, Shillong has informed that Umpling (R) Girls’ Upper Primary School has been renamed as Sarojini Naidu Girls’ Upper Primary School, Shillong with effect from January 29.
