EMs allocated portfolios

SHILLONG: The newly elected Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the KHADC, Teinwell Dkhar, on Friday allocated portfolios to the new Executive Members while submitting their list to the Governor, Tathagata Roy.
The Executive Committee will have five MDCs from the Regional Democratic Alliance (RDA) consisting of four UDP and the lone HSPDP MDC. Five MDCs from People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) were also included in the list of EMs.

When contacted, Dkhar said he has submitted the list to the governor and portfolios have also been allocated. The UDP MDCs are Paul Lyngdoh, Titosstarwell Chyne, Teibor Pathaw and Jambor War while Martle Mukhim is the lone HSPDP MDC.
The PDA MDCs in the EM include four from NPP and one from People’s Democratic Front (PDF). Those from NPP are Deputy CEM Pyniaid Sing Syiem, Victor Ranee, Mitchell Wankhar and Rangkynsai Kharbuki while the lone PDF MDC is Macdalyne Sawkmie Mawlong.
Meanwhile, the NPP has decided to nominate Alvin K Sawkmie to the post of Deputy Chairman.
Who gets what
CEM Teinwell Dkhar has assumed charge of General Administration, Forest Establishment etc.; Deputy CEM Pyniaid Sing Syiem gets Finance and Elaka Administration; Titosstarwell Chyne will look after Council Building including Council Assets etc.; Martle Mukhim will look after Marriage and Divorce & Development; Paul Lyngdoh gets charge of Trade, Education etc.; Victor Ranee will look after Revenue Collection, Health and Sanitation; Teibor Pathaw will be in charge of Labour License and Enforcement; Mitchell Wankhar heads the Town Committees, Land, Mines and Mineral departments; Macdalyne Sawkmie Mawlong will look after Taxation and IT; Rangkynsai Kharbuki has been allotted charge of Youth Affairs, Water Resources etc., while Jambor War will look after Market and Fisheries.
