Guv greets women in House, tweet follows

SHILLONG: Governor Tathagata Roy went beyond the written speech in the Assembly to greet women on International Women’s Day on Friday. “I greet all the women present here on the occasion of the International Women’s Day,” he said before the session. Later, after the Opposition boycotted his address, he tweeted, “International Women’s Day greetings to all the lady legislators of Meghalaya whom I did not meet this morning. Disappointed at missing the male legislators, too! Que sera sera!”
