Spartan beat Young Guns in Super Division T20 League

SHILLONG: A clinical bowling and batting performance by Spartan helped them achieve a nine-wicket victory over Young Guns CC in the Shillong Super Division T20 League match at the SCA ground in Polo on Sunday. Young Guns won the toss and batted first but could muster only 99 runs before they were bowled out with three balls remaining. Rahul Saha top scored with 42 runs off 52balls while Sameer Thapa contributed 11 runs in 13 balls. Lakhan and Suprio Chanda claimed three wickets each for Spartan. In reply, Spartan achieved the target of 100 in 12.5 overs with notable contributions from Abhishek Gupta (30 runs off 40 balls), Aman Kumar (29 runs off 24 balls) and Vishal Konwar (28 runs off 13 balls). Rahul was the only successful bowler for Young Guns picking up one wicket.
