Street theatre, flash mobs spread poll messsage

SHILLONG: Street theatre and flash mobs embedded with relevant  electoral messages were launched in many parts of the city to create awareness on all aspects related to upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
The awareness is currently underway in six urban constituencies of Shillong Parliamentary seat to raise awareness on registration,voting , 1950 toll free call centre for verification of elector name in electoral rolls besides EVM-VVPAT awareness and inclusive voting.
The chief electoral officer Frederick Kharkongor said efforts are being made to cover all urban localities to target urban apathy.
Awareness is also being created on Queue Management App for urban voters besides C-Vigil App as a citizen’s tools to check money power.
