Woman’s body found at Mawlonghat

SHILLONG: The body of an unidentified woman was found at Tomato Bazar at Mawlonghat in Iewduh on March 7. The inquest was sent to the district medical and health officer, Civil Hospital for postmortem after which it was to be kept in the morgue for identification.
According to a statement issued, the deceased was wearing worn pink kurta with black sweater, green and yellow checkered shawl and a blue and maroon scarf tied around her neck.
The non-tribal woman was reported to have dark complexion and black coloured hair. She was aged between 35 and 40 years and was approximately 5 feet tall.
