Shillong: Local NGOs of Dalu, West Garo Hills, together with the forest department on Thursday sent back a stone-laden truck on way to Bangladesh from Garo Hills and Bhutan. The truck was sent back when the Forest In-charge found it violated the load limit set by the Centre.
The illegal export of stones meant for construction of roads in Garo Hills has been going on for a while now.
