Police recover two bodies

SHILLONG: Police on Thursday recovered the body of a 23-year-old youth from a river in Laitkroh.
The deceased had been reported missing since March 15 and has been identified as Dominic Kharkongor from Mawjrong.
On being asked whether there were any indications of foul play, SP (city) Steve Rynjah said that police have not found any signs of foul play and that the cause of death can only be ascertained after the post mortem report is received.
Meanwhile, Ri Bhoi Police on Thursday morning recovered the body Teilang Khongphai (54) from Umiam river.
The deceased was later confirmed to be a resident of Riatsamthiah.
The body was sent to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for post mortem. An investigation is on to find out the cause of death.
