SHILLONG: The Department of Allied Health Sciences of Martin Luther Christian University conducted a health camp at Mawliehpoh, East Khasi Hills, on Saturday.
It may be mentioned that healthcare in the area is in a pathetic state and locals have to travel to Mawphlang CHC, a distance of about 18 km, or all the way to Civil Hospital Shillong.
More than 100 locals, including infants, attended the camp. Doctors were available throughout the day including experts from Bansara Eye Care.
