Five Bangladeshis arrested in Tripura

Agartala: Acting on a tip-off police arrested five Bangladeshi nationals on Saturday night who were staying at a rented house at Dasda.
According to the report, police raided a house at Laxmipur locality of Dasda area on the basis of information that some people of the minority community were staying at the house. They claimed that they were from Nilam Bazar of South Assam. But they could not tell the name of the village of their dwelling.
After interrogation, they revealed that they came from Moulabi Bazar of Bangladesh but they had no passport. They admitted that they came through Kailashahar. They were identified as Fajul Islam (27), Jabir Ahamed (22), Millat Mia (24), Siralla Mia (22) and Maktar Mia (22).
Recently, police had arrested Sarup Deb with Bangladeshi currency 17,200 Taka from Kadamtala area. (UNI)
