SHILLONG: Congress MDC Bajop Pyngrope on Monday suggested the KHADC should maintain its own electoral rolls as its constituencies are different from those under the Assembly.
Raising a question during the ongoing Budget session of the KHADC, Pyngrope informed the House that voters of Mawiawniang under Rambrai-Jyrngam constituency, West Khasi Hills, did not get to cast their votes during the recent council elections. He wanted to know from the Executive Member (EM) Macdalyne S Mawlong, in charge of IT, on whether the council has uploaded the latest constituencies. In reply, Mawlong said the matter will be discussed again and taken up with NIC (National Informatics Centre).
