Thefts
Tapashi Chakraborty of Rilbong, Shillong, has lodged a complaint that on February 27 around 8 pm, unknown miscreants entered her house and stole a purse containing ATM cards. Later, she received an SMS informing that Rs 40,000 was withdrawn from her Vijaya Bank account.
BG Thangkhiew of Meghalaya Transport Corporation (MTC) lodged a complaint that on March 22, miscreants stole two batteries from a vehicle (ML-03-0141) which was parked at MTC premises, Shillong.
Salim L Sangma of Bharti Infratel Ltd lodged a complaint that on March 18, he found that unknown miscreant(s) stole 24 batteries belonging to the company valued at around Rs1,50,000 from Tuber village (East Jaintia Hills).
Santosh Prasad Mali (37) of Nongthymmai, Shillong, lodged a complaint that on March 25 between 1.10 pm to 1.35 pm, unknown miscreants broke into his house and stole one LPG cylinder and stove.

Missing cash
Anshuman Dutta lodged a complaint that on March 25 at about 1.30 pm, he deposited Rs 17,50,000 at SBI Khanapara Branch (Ri Bhoi). On handing over the cash to the person at the cash counter, he was informed him that a sum of Rs 1,06,000 was found short. Later, as advised by branch manager of the bank, the complainant filed an application for CCTV footage, but the bank authorities declined to provide him with it.

Meeting disrupted
Johnstelin Youroi, assistant secretary ,Shnong, Shella Dorbar Shnong (East Khasi Hills), has lodged a complaint that while they were about to conduct Dorbar Shnong, several people, including women, led by one Tobias Tiewdop, forcibly entered the Community Hall where the Dorbar Shnong was to held and prevented the meeting. They threatened persons coming to attend the meeting and also damaged the window panes, etc.

Assault
Aibanshngain Diengdoh lodged a complaint that on March 23 around 4 pm, one Constantine Malngiang and three others assaulted the complainant with a sharp object at Golf Links, Shillong. As a result, the complainant sustained grievous injuries and was removed to Dr. Gordon Roberts Hospital, Shillong for treatment.

River poisoned
Masterland Lyngdoh lodged a complaint that on March 15, miscreants poisoned the fishes in Rilang River at Kseh Janan (South West Khasi Hills).

Accident
Aibonjop Shadap lodged a complaint that on February 26 around 12.30 pm, one motorcycle (number not known) dashed against a scooty (ML-05S-4543) belonging to his brother Danieki Shadap near Bawri Mansion, Dhankheti, Shillong. As a result, rider and one lady pillion rider of the scooty sustained injuries.

Public hearing
Monlang Ladong and Halbert War, Secretary of Lumshnong Village (East Jaintia Hills), lodged a joint complaint that Hanjan Siangshai along with Amita Siangshai of Lumshnong village, issued NOC dated January 18 to Member Secretary, Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB), with copy to DC, East Jaintia Hills, for holding public hearing for expansion of limestone mining from 9 lakh TPA to 25 lakh TPA by Star Cement Ltd, Lumshnong, without any authority / consent from the Executive Committee of Dorbar Shnong and they also cheated a section of villagers by taking their signatures without informing them about the public hearing.
