JOWAI: The new Executive Committee led by Thombor Shiwat has decided to terminate all ad-hoc appointees who were illegally appointed by the former JHADC chief just before the District Council for his political vested interests.
There were 56 adhoc appointees all of whom will be terminated as their appointment is illegal.
The former JHADC CEM, Madonbai Rymbai has appointed all 56 ad-hoc employees violating the JHADC Service Rule 1981 Vol 3 and II of Chapter IV.
The former CEM who lost the recent election has appointed all 56 persons without any advertisement, examination and interviews.
The Jaintia Students Union led by its General Secretary Jersome Shylla recently met the JHADC chief and demanded that all illegal appointments should be cancelled and terminated and a fresh advertisement should be called for any vacant posts in the Council.
Shiwat also assured the JSU activists that he will take immediate action as soon as the Lok Sabha elections are over.
