The officer in charge of the civil defense office in Ri Bhoi, has informed that the office requires trained home guards/civil defence volunteers for the upcoming MP election. Interested individuals may report to the civil defence office in Umlyngkdait near the DC’s bungalow in Nongpoh during office hours. The last date for applications is April 5. MHRC chief to visit EGH
The Chairperson of the Meghalaya Human Rights Commission (MHRC), Dr. Justice Aftab H Saikia, will be visiting East Garo Hills on April 2 and 3 .

The members of Sree Narayana Guru Cultural Centre (SNGCC), Shillong condoled the sudden demise of Sanchita Haridoss during a meeting held in the city on Friday. Sanchita Haridoss, 61, is survived by her daughter, Hari Madhuri Doss, PhD (Immunology) and husband, K Haridoss, retired NEC officer and member of the Advisory Board, SNGCC, Shillong.
