The Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration (A) Department has informed that all State Government offices and educational institutions shall remain closed on April 11 to enable the voters to exercise their franchise in connection with the Lok Sabha election. Employees of embodiments governed by N.I. Act, 1881, industrial undertakings, shops enterprises and companies working on casual work, daily wage and shift basis are entitled to a paid holiday on the date of poll.
The additional chief secretary to the government of Meghalaya, General Administration (A) Department has informed that all state government Offices, Revenue and Magisterial Courts and Educational Institutions in East Khasi Hills shall remain closed on April 15 on account of Shad Suk Mynsiem.

HSPDP meet
In view of the Lok Sabha polls, an emergent meeting of the executive committee of HSPDP Mawkynrew circle will be held at Mawsam, Thangsning on Wednesday. The meeting will be held at 8 am. The general secretary of the party has urged the members to attend the meeting.
