Ri Bhoi DC orders closure of IMFL outlets, bars on April 9,10,11, May 23

NONGPOH: In Exercise of the power conferred by Sec 52(1) of ME Act (Assam Excise Act & Rules as adapted by Meghalaya), the Deputy Commissioner, Ri Bhoi District, Nongpoh has  ordered all IMFL retail shops, bars in hotels, bonded warehouse, bottling units, country made spirit shops, outstills, breweries, canteens etc., located in Ri Bhoi district to remain close on the 9th 10th  & 11th April 2019 because of polling and on the 23rd May 2019 being the day posted for the counting of votes  on account of the Lok Sabha election and the by-election to 48 Selsella (ST) constituency.

This order should be enforced through intensive checking, raids and other measures and also will include the date of re-poll if any.
