Nongpoh: Members of the Static Surveillance Team and personnel of 37 battalion of the SSB on Monday seized Rs 19 lakh from a person at Khapmara checking point, Bhoirymbong in Ri Bhoi district
The personnel were on routine checking to monitor MCC violations when they intercepted a car the person was travelling in. The money was seized as the person was carrying it without any consent from authorities which is required when MCC is in force.
