NONGSTOIN: The body of an 11-year-old girl from Umyiap village in Langpih, West Khasi Hills, was found on Monday.
One person spotted the body and reported the matter to the village head and police.
Though locals suspect that the child was murdered police are yet to confirm it.
The body is yet to be identified and it was sent to Nongstoin Civil Hospital for autopsy.
