MCS officer dies of cardiac arrest in office

SHILLONG: Meghalaya Civil Service officer DM Wallang collapsed and died in his office while at work on Tuesday. He was 45.
Wallang, who was the Joint Secretary in the Urban Affairs Department, suffered a stroke after which he was rushed to Shillong Civil Hospital where doctors declared he was brought dead.
Wallang came to the office as usual, but hours into work, he collapsed, sources said.
Wallang was very active in his professional field and even on social media.
Prior to his posting as the Joint Secretary, Urban Affairs Department, he was Additional Deputy Commissioner in West Jaintia Hills.
His death has been widely condoled by different sections of the society.
