SHILLONG: The Additional Deputy Commissioner and CEO of District Disaster Management Authority, East Khasi Hills District has informed that thunderstorm with squall and lightning is likely to occur at isolated places of the state from April 7 to 9. People are required to take extra care to avoid any incidences and ensure safe keeping of objects such as lumber piles, loose tin sheets, loose bricks, garbage cans, sign boards etc. which might be blown away in strong wind.
Switch off all electrical appliances like electric iron, mobile charger, television set and others if the lightning persists.
