SHILLONG: A pedestrian succumbed to his injuries after a school bus knocked him down at Laitkor, near Shillong Peak March 30.
The school bus (DL1PA-2169) was driven by Bhagawana Ram (28). The deceased identified as Kenwell Nongkhlaw, was rushed to Shillong Civil Hospital where the attending MO declared him brought dead.
In a another incident on the same day at 3 pm, a bus (AS-01FC-1840) knocked down viz., Bidish Marak (46) at Gomaijora NEC Road, West Garo Hills.
As a result, the victim sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to Tura Civil Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
On March 25 around 11:30 pm, a truck (NL-02-3682) rammed against two houses at Mawblei, Shillong.
As a result, three persons Resot Ahmed (23), Rosit Ahmed and Anwar Hussain sustained injuries. Later, Resot Ahmed was shifted to GMC, Guwahati.
