Accident kills one
On April 6, around 2.30 am, one unidentified vehicle knocked down Santosh Sharma at Khanapara. The victim sustained injuries and was shifted to CH Nongpoh.
On April 7 around 11 am, one motorcycle (WB 72C 0842) ridden by Nilma Ch Marak collided with another (DL 5SJ 7376) ridden by Perrit Ch Marak at Chongpotgre in SWGH. The riders and pillion riders of both the motorcycles sustained injuries and were shifted to Ampati CHC. Nilma Ch Marak was declared brought dead by the MO on duty.

Body found
On April 7, around 11 am, Harwinder Singh (46) was found dead inside his truck (PB 11AV 9798) at NRL petrol pump, 10th Mile, Khanapara.

Missing
Adorable Dkhar registered a complaint that on April 5 around 2.30 pm, her 17-year old nephew did not return after he left the house in Laitkor. However, on the same day, the complainant saw the boy who, however, fled on being called.
Cash recovered
On April 5, personnel of the Static Surveillance Team recovered Rs 156,000 and Rs 94,000 from the possession of Haji Abdul and Ajiz Hussain Ali from Lakhipur, Assam at Rangagora respectively.

Water poisoned
Headman of Sumer Latara village, Ri-Bhoi, lodged a complaint that on April 4 around 3.30 pm, miscreants poisoned the water of river Sumer Latara with pesticides that killed fishes and other aquatic life in the river.
ATM vandalised
Nembah Kharsyntiew lodged a complaint that on April 3, he was informed that miscreant(s) had vandalised an ATM at Mawlai, Nonglum.

Fraud
R. Sangma lodged a complaint that on March 28, one Sujeet Kumar asked him to deposit Rs 74,500 as registration fee and NOC via Canara Bank. The scammer introduced himself as an employee of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, LPG Vitarak Kendra in order to dupe him.
Jeaneca Nongrum lodged a complaint that between March 16 and 17, Aditya Singh fraudulently acquired Rs 12,500 from her. The accused informed her that she was selected for an interview in ICICI Bank and asked her to deposit the amount in the bank account of Nikki Kumari. She was informed to make a second deposit to procure the appointment letter and laptop which she denied.

False complaint
The president of Purakhasia Bazar Committee in WGH, Rimson D Sangma, and secretary Mohendra Ch Sangma, lodged a complaint that president and secretary of FKJGP Purakhasia Unit, published a report in the Salantini Janera on March 27, wherein they falsely accused the complainants of illegally collecting money from the dry fish dealers of Purakhasia market.
