Black Flag Day on April 23 for ILP

SHILLONG: Pressure groups under the Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organisations (CoMSO) will hold a Black Flag Day in the state on April 23 in protest against the delay in implementing inner line permit (ILP).
In a statement issued here, CoMSO said it held a meeting on April 13 and decided to protest.
The members of the organisation will pin black ribbons on the public, display black flags on cars, carry flex in which demand for ILP will be written.
CoMSO has criticised the state government for going slow on ILP that will effectively tackle influx of illegal immigrants in the state.
After Black Flag Day, the organisation will initiate a series of agitations. The organisation maintained that they will continue with the agitation until the government implements ILP.
CoMSO has urged the public to allow the members of the organisation to pin black ribbons on them and put up black flags on their vehicles.
