Cricket camp begins in city

SHILLONG: The Senior Women’s Players ZCA Camp for North East (NADP) States organised by National Cricket Academy of BCCI, in collaboration with Meghalaya Cricket Association.
The camp was inaugurated by Naba Bhattacharjee, Honorary Secretary MCA & Member (Co-ordination) of BCCI, NADP Committee.
The inauguration was held in the presence of officials of MCA and SCA and others at MCA Cricket Ground Polo.
25 players from Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagalnd and Sikkim have been shortlisted by Senior Women’s Selection Committee of BCCI.
The resource persons of NCA include Purnima Rau who represented India in 33 ODIs and 3 tests, as head coach besides Biju Geroge, present fielding coach of Indian Women’s team, Pritam Gandhe, former junior India selector..
The camp will conclude on May 4.
Evert N Mawlong of MCA scored 90 marks in online scorers examination, qualifying to officiate in BCCI tournaments as a qualified scorer.
