Presiding officer prohibits Dorbar from convening meeting

SHILLONG: The presiding Officer, Sub-ordinate District Council Court in the order on Friday has once again restrained two persons, Wantei Kupar Swett and Tobias Tiewdop from holding any meeting on April 29 in Shella Village at Dorbar Hall at Jasir Shella for electing new office bearers of Shella for 2019-2020.
This was informed by the plaintiff in the title suit, John Stelin Youroi who further said that the order has also directed the officer in-charge of Shella Police Station to enforce the order along with the orders on August 5 and 8 last year and to also submit a report to the Court.
He recalled that the same court on April 22 passed an order restraining Wantei Kupar Swett and Tobias Tiewdop to convene any meeting on April 23 and at the same time directed the OC Shella P.S. to enforce the order.
Youroi said that the OC Shella P.S after receiving the order went to the venue of the meeting to stop the same but the group of people (Contd on P-10)
