Agartala: Tripura University Vice-Chancellor, Prof VL Dharurkar on Sunday said that India needs to adopt the principles and practices of management theories from Gita for a sustainable future.
Prof Dharurkar addressed the annual farewell program, Envision 2019, for the outgoing batches of MBA and BBA students.
This event has become a hallmark of Department of Business Management, which is striving relentlessly in proliferating management education in North East.
Prof Dharurkar lauded the efforts and endeavor of the department while offering his best wishes to the graduating students.
The audience broke into thundering applause while he connected modern management theories of Frederik Taylor and Adam Smith with Rabindranath Tagore and Gita.
Dharurkar highlighted the fact that Gita and Upanishadas embody the soul of India, and the budding managers should imbibe the theories deep within to illuminate the world with the prowess of Indian Management theories for a sustainable environment.
During the day’s schedule, the first year students organised various cultural programs and games to engage with the seniors.
The outgoing students and faculty members offered their share of experiences with the audience. (UNI)
