TURA: A young woman undergoing treatment in Tura Christian Hospital killed herself on Tuesday afternoon.
The 22-year-old girl, Tengsime M Sangma, reportedly hanged herself in the room she was undergoing treatment in at around 3:15 in the afternoon when no one was around.
The possibility of the victim suffering from depression has not been ruled out.
Garo Hills, especially Tura, has witnessed suicides by young women, particularly teenagers, for many years with numerous lives having been lost in the absence of counseling and awareness.
