SHILLONG: Fatima Nonglang, the widow of Dismarlin Lyngdoh Lyngkhoi, the Home Guard personnel who was killed in Ri-Bhoi, said the authorities should nab the culprits involved in the killing of her husband.

She addressed the press on Thursday in the company of  members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) Mawlai Circle and FKJGP Mawlai circle.

“As a widow I am facing hardship,” she said while carrying her three-months-old baby on her back.

Lyngdoh is the sole breadwinner of the family who has five children. The eldest son is studying BA second semester, the second is studying in class XII while the third and fourth children are in class X and Class VIII respectively.

The leaders of the organizations said that the mother was thinking of asking her children to stop pursuing their studies as she cannot afford their higher education.
