NCC camp begins today

SHILLONG: A combined annual training camp for NCC boys and girls, organised by 2nd Meghalaya Bn NCC will be held at 119 Inf Bn TA in Laban from May 12 to 21.
Around 400 NCC cadets from all over the state will be attending the camp which is being organised with an aim to develop the spirit of camaraderie, discipline, team spirit, leadership, character building and self reliance among the cadets.
Apart from drill, map reading, firing, and tent pitching, various other activities will be held throughout the duration of the camp including a demonstration by the Shillong Fire Service.
A cultural programme will also be held on May 20 where Chief Minister Conrad Sangma will grace the event as the chief guest.
