St Edmund’s, Jail Road Boys’ emerge winners

SHILLONG: In the inter school cricket tournament 2019 (U-14), first match played between Little Angels School and Saint Edmunds School, in which Saint Edmunds school won by 46 runs. Saint Edmunds School won the toss & elected to bat first. They scored 140/3 in 15 overs. Harsh Singhania scored 55 runs off 32 balls and Kshitij Singhania scored 23 runs of 28 balls not out. Aditya kumar and Chandan Kr Shah took 1 wkt each. In reply Little Angels School scored 94/7 in 15 overs. Aditya kumar scored 40 runs off 37 balls and Sumit kr Shah scored 18 runs off 31 balls. Shlok Passari and Aryan Sarrogi took 2 wkts each. In the second match between Shillong Secondary School and Jail Road Boys School, Jail Road Boys school won by 6 wkts. Jail Road Boys School won the tos & elected to field first. Shillong Secondary School batting first scored 58/10 in 11.1 overs. Sumit Paul scored 16 runs off 13 balls and Bibash Sangma scored 12 runs of 10 balls. Vicky Kr Singh took 4 wkts and Sudip Sunar got 2 wkts. In reply, Jail Road Boys School scored 59/4 in 6.2 overs. Vicky Kr Singh scored 27 runs off 12 balls and Tutun kr Singh scored 9 runs off 13 balls. Sumit Paul took 2 wkts and Parvez got 1 wkt. Finals will be played on Thursday.
