The 16th executive committee meeting of the Gorkha Secondary School Alumni Association held on May 12 has decided to hold its third general body meeting on the school premises, Upper Shillong at 10:30 am on June 23.
The general meeting of the MeECL Pensioners’ Association will be held at 1 pm on Sunday at SESU (BC House) office building, Shillong to discuss some urgent and important issues.
Office bearers
The annual general body meeting of Asom Kristi Kendra, Dhankheti in Shillong held on April 28 elected a new executive body for the next term with BR Medhi as president and P. Sarmah as general secretary besides executive members.
Dorbar Shnong
The Dorbar Shnong Kenche’s Trace, Oxford Hills and Rilbong on May 11 elected new office bearers of the Dorbar Shnong for a period of one year. Glanding Lyngdoh-headman, Hamsaya Chen-assistant headman, Blanch Barry Lyngdoh – secretary beside others.
PPT competition
B. K. Bajoria School will organise an inter-house PowerPoint Presentation competition on ‘Tech Today’ in the School Auditorium at 1:30 pm on Wednesday. Consultant of Department of IT E. Lyngwa will be the chief guest.
Shreehatta Utsav
Shillong Shreehatta Sammilanee is organising a Shreehatta Utsav on June 22 and 23. As part of the event, competitions on Sylheti folk song, folk dance and Sylehti Dhamail will also be organised on May 25 from 10:30 am onwards in the Auditorium of Sri Sri Jagannath Mandir, Thana Road.
