pertaining to victims of sexual offences, or a child in need of care or protection and of juveniles in conflict with law.
In a statement, police said disclosure of identities or any information which link to the identity of victims or juveniles is in contravention to the statutory jurisprudence and there are three statutory Acts which prohibit the disclosure of identity and information, which are the Indian Penal Code 1860, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012 and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
