SHILLONG: Chief Minister and NPP national president Conrad Sangma on Thursday said it is the prerogative of the Prime Minister to take a call on a Cabinet berth to Agatha Sangma who won the Tura Lok Sabha seat.
Conrad expressed jubilation over the fact that the NPP won the Tura Lok Sabha seat as well as the Selsella bye-poll, which was bagged by NPP candidate Ferlin C.A. Sangma.
“Looking forward to consolidate and strengthen the party in the region,” he said.
Conrad thanked the “splendid performance” of Narendra Modi and said, “It has certified the leadership quality that he has and the people of India have once again reposed their faith in his leadership.”
Heaping praises on the NDA, he went on to say that under Modi’s leadership the NDA emerged victorious and won more seats than what was expected.
“Overall, the performance of the NDA throughout the country shows that people have full faith in the leadership of Narendra Modi and all the regional parties and other political allies of the NDA and that is why we have seen such a great number,” he said.
