School students’ pre-WED walk in Shillong

SHILLONG: All Saints’ Diocesan Higher Secondary School took out an awareness walk on Monday as part of the observation of World Environment Day (WED).

Speaking to reporter, the Principal, E.M.Syiem  the school will find out ways and means to be innovative to make the students and people aware of the importance of preserving the environment.

According to her, students can plant flowers and trees in and around the campus. She added that there were plans to make the school a plastic-free zone by the end of the year.
