MLA seeks police probe into employee’s death

SHILLONG: MLA Adelbert Nongrum condemned an incident where a body was found under mysterious circumstances which led to a murder suspicion, and, therefore, urged the police department and the investigation team to leave no stones unturned and to find out the truth and book the culprits.
He had also asked the police department to speed up the process so as to deliver the rightful justice to the victim and the family, said a statement issued on Friday.
Meanwhile, a condolence meeting and a two-minute silence was recently observed to mourn the untimely demise of Iohbianghun Sahkhar, who worked as an Assistant Manager Account in the Head Office of the Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation Ltd (MTDC), added the statement.
