Umbir murder case: CID hunts for two suspects

SHILLONG: The CID team which is investigating the death of an MTDC employee, whose body was recovered from a forest in Umbir recently, is looking for two suspects including a woman in connection with the murder case.
The Special Superintendent of Police (CID), Meghalaya, on Friday informed that Shanborlang Rani alias Deng Deng, a resident of Mawlai Umjapung Block-C and Grace Mery Kharumlong also of Mawlai Umjapung are wanted in the murder of the 57-year-old woman who was working in Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation.
The investigating team has asked anyone having any information about them to inform the local police station or call 0364-2222214/2222215/2222855 at the earliest.
Police however refused to divulge more information about the case as the matter is still under investigation.
Earlier, the police had also registered the case under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC.
