Rice released
The Sub Divisional School Education Officer (SDSEO), Tura sadar, West Garo Hills has informed that mid day meal rice for the months of April, May and June for students of Lower Primary School for 56 days and Upper Primary School for 61 days has been released with effect from Tuesday. All concerned SMC Secretaries have been directed to contact the office of the SDSEO and collect the allotment from their respective Block Mission Coordinators by producing proof of SMC approval.

Programme
The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), East Garo Hills, in collaboration with office of the District Transport Officer and the Traffic Branch Police, conducted programmes on Road Safety awareness at Williamnagar on June 22.

BSNL offer
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a plan voucher ABHINANDAN-151 as a promotional offer for a period of 90 days for its prepaid mobile customers, a release issued here informed. The plan (Rs 151) offers unlimited calls to any network while in roaming including Delhi and Mumbai. This plan also offers free 1 GB data per day and 100 SMS per day on any network with a validity of 24 days.  The offer will be applicable for new connection, migration and validity extension with freebies.
